“A Moral Storm”

“… the structure of our public morality crashed to earth. Above its grave a tombstone read, “Be tolerant–even of evil.” Logically the next step would be to say to our commonwealth’s criminals, “I disagree that it’s all right to rob and murder, but naturally I respect your opinion.” Tolerance is only complacence when it makes no distinction between right and wrong.”  – Sarah Patton Boyle   This quote was the last dialogue narrated in the movie “A (or The) Moral Storm.  The movie stars James Stewart as a vet student in 1933 Germany.  His is one of the few defiant voices against burgeoning Naziism.  The comparison with Socialist America is undeniable.  Substitute the gasthouse scene of Seig Heil-saluting Naziis singing loyalty to the Fuhrer with today’s videos of elementary school children chanting “Barack Hussein Obama” and the victory of Socialism coudn’t be more clear.

When New Black Panthers can physically intimidate non-minority voters, when our most basic right to a secret ballot has been violated,  when the Attorney General of the United States aides and abets this egregious violation of Constitutional rights, when the President of the United States bows before  foreign potentates to curry illegal, financial electoral favor; when our enemies can buy electoral offices with impunity, when a U.S. citizen is sent to jail for making a movie……this is indeed “A Moral Storm”.  The Supreme Court dictated the same constitutional rights to illegal aliens (education, medical care, legal counsel, etc.) who haven’t even completed entry into the United States but denies the same rights to U.S. citizens through imminent domain, censorship and many other rules-by-edicts.   Nothing is going to end the two-party demographic subterfuge that ensures the continuing Reich but the right of revolution promised by Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence.  Our opening shot in this revolution should be every citizen becoming financially independent.  Take the financial needle out of the federal addict’s arm.  1) Read the financial strategies of your 401K plans.  If they contain the word “derivative” or connection to the IRS, Fannie Mae, or New York city banks, withdraw your money.  I read that during Prohibition (in which the only ones surviving were those who had physical CASH in their hands) the famous gangster Al Capone paid today’s equivalent of $300,00.00 in bribes.  That was cold hard cash.  I’m amused when gold investment commercials tout “It has never been worth zero!”  Well, neither has the dollar – and the dollar in hand can buy food at closer to actual cost than a gold coin or ingot.  If we are headed for another Depression remember how the gangster’s did business – with cash.  Not gold, not stocks or bonds (that’s reserved for our investment CEOs who bet against us (their own) investors.  By the way, has anyone tried selling gold lately?  The dirty little secret about all the gold rush is that when it comes time to sell you won’t get anywhere near the market price.  Now is not the time to hold on to investments earning interest.  That is the “hook” they have on us – our hope/addiction to the hype of earning free money through interest.  Now is the time to have “one in YOUR hand” vs. “two in THEIR bush”.   Be as self-sufficient as possible (google “Provident Living”).  Make more meals at home.  Cut up all your credit cards (or, have only one and pay it off each month).  I was amazed when I brought this up with my new daughter-in-law.  She said I was probably the only person in America who didn’t ever pay interest on a credit card (since obtaining my first at 32 years of age in 1983).  It isn’t true that I’m the only one but from the massive amount of credit card debt I must be in the micro-minority.  It can be done with the right attitude adjustment.  It goes without saying to quit using debit cards.  Those are the life blood of the financial vampires.  I’m assuredly preaching to the choir if you are reading this.  I just read an article in the “Army Times” describing a female soldier who wanted to go to Harvard on the GI Bill.  She was concerned about the debt burden. She decided she had to give up her “$7.00 Lattes, learn to like tap water, and cut down on beer and pizza.  Oh! the pain!  I imagine all the angst about college costs could be greatly alleviated if mom and pop or the government weren’t so liberal with their money. A wise man once told me “Don’t confuse love with money.”  in dealing with children.  I have found through raising four kids that it is amazing how quickly kids appreciate the value of things when they have to pay for things with “real” money they’ve had to earn themselves.  If parents had been more conservative with their funds in the ’60s their kids wouldn’t have had the luxury of trying to overthrow the U.S. government.  They would have to have had real jobs just to graduate.  We’re seeing the fruits of that largesse in our political and financial morass today.  Don’t feed the pig!
