Some would have thought they were watching CNN during Newsmax’ Greta Van Susteren’s August 4th interview with Chicago City Alderman (D) Raymond Lopez. The interview was about the Illinois governor hiring illegal aliens as police officers. During the interview, Lopez felt compelled -as all activist LGBTQ advocates do – to inform the listening audience he is married to a man.
What should have been a case of the obvious against hiring illegal aliens as police officers Susteran pled the case for the Illinois governor. The thin veneer of objectivity was shattered when she commented “We have to change this ‘immigration thing’ so the illegals can become citizens.”
Greta Conway Van Susteran’s liberal credentials were formed growing up in the infamously liberal state of Wisconsin. Her father served as a campaign strategist for Senator Joseph McCarthy (D) but broke with him when McCarthy became a Republican. Her sister Lise was a Democratic candidate for Congress. Van Susteren earned her degree from the same institution Obama did – Georgetown University in 1979. Due to her coverage of the O.J. Simpson trial as a legal analyst for CNN she was rewarded with co-hosting CNN’s Burden of Proof and The Point.
During the President Clinton impeachment debate, she dismissed the issue as one of an unfaithful husband and not an impeachable offense – totally ignoring the actual legal basis for the impeachment – perjury (lying to Congress), obstruction of justice and abuse of power.
In 2002, Van Susteren switched to the Fox News Channel. In 2016 she resigned from Fox News. This was during the Fox conservative years of Roger Ailes’ management. In early 2017 she signed on with MSNBC launching For the Record with Greta on January 9, 2017. Six months later on June 29, she was “out at MSNBC” as her program did not do well in ratings. She made it clear to President Trump that she would have liked to have been appointed ambassador to Ireland but he did not select her. Apparently, her tumble down the ratings ladder ended with her joining Newsmax TV in May 2022. It appears Newsmax may be sliding to the Left the same way Fox News has.
Van Susteren is totally ignorant of police hiring procedures. It includes a physical examination. Many, if not most, of the male illegal aliens entering the U.S. come from countries where the AIDS/HIV virus infection rate is above 50%. It includes an extensive background investigation to determine eligibility and character. This vetting is impossible for someone who has entered the country illegally. Nothing about that illegal alien can be verified. Not employment record. Not criminal record. Not date of birth. Nothing. Trusting someone who who can’t be vetted with a gun and a badge to enforce the law is an act of societal suicide. The chaos of Chicago will only be made worse by hiring foreigners coming from countries where bribery and police corruption are a way of life. But, then again, they might just fit in with the way Democrats already run Chicago.
Blue cities seem to be intentionally acting in concert with Congress as incubators for the alien insurrection of the United States. 80% of the illegal aliens flooding across Biden’s open borders are males of military age. It’s almost as if there were a specific design by the democrats to destroy our cultural narrative.
Greta Van Susteren’s endorsement of this lunacy shows she needs to return to the asylum of CNN.
Van Susteren also used as supporting argument the false claim “450,000 illegals (she couldn’t bring herself to say ‘aliens’) are already serving in “harm’s way” in the military. First, in true CNN fashion, she grossly exaggerated that number. According to military.com “Roughly 35,000 non-citizens are serving in the active-duty military, and about 8,000 join each year.” None of those are illegal aliens. They are legal permanent residents who enlisted to expedite their pre-existing citizenship application.
That kind and degree of fake news stemming from such a Leftist bias belongs back at CNN. She’s not the only sheep in wolf’s clothing employed at Newsmax.
In a futile, snowflake attempt at appeasing her viewers, she has resorted to concluding her show reporting on animals. It’s a ridiculous distraction and detracts from her gravitas as a news channel host (such as they have). Maybe she can replace Mr. Rogers “Won’t you be my friend?”
Goodbye Greta. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
