Conservative Combat: How the Right Must Fight the Left

Let’s get down to brass tacks – literally. Shortly after the Jews occupied the land of Canaan (it wasn’t known as Israel until quite later), their hostile neighbors decided to drive the Jews out of the Promised Land (kind of like today). Moses had already died declaiming “You kids have tried to kill me more often than our enemies!” The ruling elite went into committee and decided it was a sin to fight on Sunday (perhaps assisted with a little Biden bribe for encouragement). Well, that was music to the ears of their enemies. Luckily for subsequent generations more rational heads prevailed and they fought seven days a week when provoked. (The Complete Histories of Josephus)

The RNC, GOP and “conservatives” in general seem to be under the impression it’s a sin to fight any day of the week. Claiming the NRA as a shield in this conflict is the height of hilarity. Yeah, it has fought vigorously – and won- to maintain our Second Amendment right to own and bear arms. But the NRA is not going to accompany you onto the street where the current cultural war is occurring.  And the street is where it is going to be lost or won. Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton declaring with all the testosterone he could muster “We’ll sue!” echoes emptily when you’re surrounded by AntiFa lunatics. I’m really tired of listening to pasty-faced, coiffured, talking heads  pontificating in front of cameras like bleating sheep “not understanding how the Left can get away this!” No amount of that whining is going to win the war in the streets.

For a nation that was founded on a revolution we’ve certainly forgotten what it is to stand up and literally fight for our rights. Our most inalienable right is that of self-preservation – self defense. Common law and statutory law have centuries of clearly defined circumstances in which a law-abiding citizen may use force – including deadly force- to preserve his and others’ life from being taken or from suffering serious bodily injury. Very little of legal self-defense is about carrying a gun. There are several, clearly enunciated steps between yelling “Stop! Get Back!” and using deadly force. Conservatives need to learn those parameters and put them into practice. Yeah, it involves getting physical. It involves striking, kicking, boxing, and martial arts. Yeah, it takes physical effort to know how to protect yourself. [Note: I’m not a big fan of Jiu-Jitsu in a street fight. Jiu-Jitsu is simply the mat work from Judo. The goal in a street fight is to put the attacker down eliminating the threat– not go down with him. It’s why police officers no longer tackle suspects.]

Laziness and cowardice is why the Right is losing the cultural war in the street.

I was asked to attend a “conference” in Phoenix shortly after my book 10 Years on the Line: My War on the Border was published. I was under the impression it was going to be a panel of speakers discussing immigration. It turned out to be a group of about fifteen FAIR people carrying signs on the corner down the street from the State legislature with a portable dais.  I was standing next to a building in the shade observing the proceedings when a ragged looking group of Gothic anarchists approached with a bullhorn yelling their basic four-letter vocabulary. They walked into a few of the FAIR folks and stood directly in front of the dais spewing their vile invectives. This was a clear violation of the FAIR group’s right to peaceably assemble. They had a permit. The anarchists did not. I looked behind me and saw a Hispanic, Maricopa County Sheriff lieutenant and a sergeant smiling. It was clear they were not going to guarantee FAIR their Civil Rights. Sheriff Joe Arpaio the alleged “toughest sheriff in America” was their boss.

The anarchist was a six-foot plus “male” (more or less) much taller and weighing fifty pounds more than the FAIR female. Her response to the verbal and physical assault by the anarchist, was to start singing God Bless America.  Noble but totally ineffective. All she had to do was lift her knee into his groin with a little vigor and that maggot anarchist would have been on his maggot ass writhing in pain. And the FAIR female would have been totally within her right to do so.  I called her later and explained her rights and the legally appropriate courses of action available to her. She was petrified thinking of taking legitimate, active measures that would keep her from being a victim.

It seems much of the GOP elite feels the same way. Neither the political “leadership” nor the media mouthpieces on the Right are going to be there to protect you from harm by the Left. You have to defend yourself. And your community has to defend itself. If neither is willing to commit to their own self-defense, the Long War for America is already lost – not with an NRA “BANG!” but with a whimper.

The key to legitimate self-defense is understanding and exercising the same rules for self defense as escalation of force taught in every police academy in the nation. For example, students at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Glynco, Georgia are taught the first step in self defense is the voice command “Get Back!” followed by physical responses appropriate to the escalating actions of the attacker – up to and including deadly force.

Conservatives willing to fight “seven days a week” should learn these rules and use them to defend themselves. They need to stop being afraid of punching bullies in the face and knocking them on their asses. You’d be surprised how quickly snowflakes melt when met with physical resistance.

All the herd on the Right needs to do is decide to stop being a victim, learn how, and commit to active self-preservation.

Anything less is counterfeit conservatism.
