Memo to Congress: 9/11 and Prime Air – The FAA and Airline Industry Continue Murdering the American Public

On September 6, 2026 an Amazon Prime Air cargo plane, in what the National Transportation Safety Board calls a “runway excursion”, ran 1,300 feet off the end of the Miami runway killing five on the ground and critically injuring five others.

Today America commemorates 25 years since the attacks on 9/11.

In both cases, the airline industry shares culpability and blame.

In 2001, Congress gave the airline industry $15 billion after the passenger traffic dropped 30% due to 9/11.
In 2003 Congress gave the airline industry $3.2 billion as an “Emergency Wartime Supplemental.”
In 2020-2021, Congress gave the airline industry $54 billion in direct payroll grants due to COVID. – wikipedia

Each of these times, the airline industry was swimming in profits or recovering on their own.

“The U.S. government has historically intervened in the aviation industry – at least 19 times between WW II and 2000 –  especially after events like the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, which severely impacted air travel and prompted a significant response in the form of grants and loans. Proponents argue that these subsidies are essential for preserving air travel accessibility and ensuring airlines can operate without drastically raising ticket prices, especially in less populated regions reliant on air service.

However, critics contend that such financial aid distorts competition, favoring certain airlines at the expense of others and raising ethical questions about taxpayer funding for specific industries. The debate includes discussions on programs like the Essential Air Service, which aims to provide air transport to smaller communities but faces scrutiny over its costs and effectiveness. While the impact of airline subsidies varies based on economic conditions and operational needs, the ongoing discussions reflect broader concerns about government intervention in the free market and the sustainability of such support in the long term. – (EBSCO, Authored By: Rich, Alex K.; Grant, Richard A.; Published In: 2024 2 of 2)

I began working as an immigration inspector at the Douglas, AZ Port of Entry in 1996. Soon afterward I inspected Arab students entering the U.S. from Mexico at that Port of Entry who had expired student visas – “7A”s.

By law those “students” should have been denied entry into the United States and returned to their country of origin to apply for renewed student visas. I was immediately and strongly counselled by supervisors “DON’T FUCK WITH THE 7As!” – in those exact terms.

Apparently, Arab students with expired student visas had been reentering the United States nationwide by the thousands for years.  As immigration inspectors began denying them entry,  the airline industry complained to Congress. The airline industry didn’t like “paying” for a return seat taken by an alien denied entry into the U.S.

Congress contacted the State Department who ordered the Immigration & Naturalization Service (INS) to stop denying Arabs on expired visas entry into the United States.  They laughed in our faces as they proceeded into the United States to attend – or not – American universities.

“In my opinion, based on the FACTS reported under sworn testimony, Janet Reno’s Justice Department hack Jamie Gorlick’s rescinding President Reagan’s Executive Order #12333 requiring the CIA and the FBI AGENTS to share intelligence –especially on terrorism-was the single most critical factor in allowing 9/11 to occur. It appears to be the opinion of the 9/11 Committee as well though the Democrat members would never sign off on that. Yes, the airline industry has blood on its’ hands for jamming open the floodgates of expired student visas the terrorists exploited. But when the CIA agent who tracked the 9/11 terrorists from Indonesia to Hong Kong and knew which flight they boarded to the United States was told he could NOT inform the FBI the terrorists were entering the U.S. at Los Angeles, because of Janet Reno’s and Jamie Gorlick’s “Wall”, it guaranteed the terrorists success and over 2,000 American citizens and others were murdered.” (See: Clinton’s Wall and 9/11 this site dated 2018/01/05)

AG Reno was acting at the behest of Hillary Clinton.

No one in the U.S. government or the airline industry who facilitated the illegal entry of Arab “flight students” has ever been held accountable.

The day prior to 9/11, a young Saudi man attempted entry into the United States at the Miami airport on an expired student visa. One immigration inspector felt so strongly this man was a threat he took it before a supervisor. Amazingly, the supervisor backed him up and sent the Saudi man back to Saudi Arabia on the next departing plane.

That man was the 20th hijacker.

9 September 2026: Prime Air Crash Update: What the NTSB Just Revealed You Tube #CaptainSteeeve:

The most shocking fact in the video is the FAA is not required to implement safety recommendations from the National Transportation Safety Board!

In that video, Captain Steve shows an excerpt from a briefing by NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy.  Her statement includes words to this effect: “Since 2008, there have been over 3,000 runway “excursions.” It’s very frustrating to make safety recommendations to to the FAA and they are not accepted. As a result, we are here again.”

Although not verbatim (the exact statement can be seen on YouTube videos of her complete briefings) this paraphrase captures the gist of her frustration.

Why can the FAA refuse or ignore safety recommendations from the NTSB? Why are they just “recommendations” when it comes to saving the lives of the flying public?

It would seem an organization responsible for the safety of all transportation conducted in the United States would have the authority to mandate safety measures to an organization responsible for only aviation.

The pecking order seems to be inverted.

Is the FAA co-opted by the airline industry who evaluates safety regulations on a “cost-benefit” basis like the auto industry  before being forced to implement the corrections after a major loss of life?

The same kind of cost-benefit analysis the airline industry conducted to lobby congress to tell the State Department to tell INS “DON’T FUCK WITH THE 7As”? (See: 9/11 Commission Report)

Congress needs to give the NTSB some real teeth and make NTSB safety recommendations MANDATORY on all public conveyances.

And, yes, that means ignoring the campaign donations and free perks by the airline industry and all the other lobbyists that place profit above public safety.
