Memo to Trump and His Minions*: Why “No President in 47 Years Acted”

Great Britain had it’s MacMillan who promised “Peace In Our Time!” after receiving a promise from Hitler not to invade Poland.

British Prime Minister Winston Churchill not-so-famously declared “We have nothing to fear from our little brown brothers” just before Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and captured Singapore after sinking England’s greatest ship.

Churchill’s more accurate predictions included a warning about not trusting Hitler to keep his word and, after years participating in both the Afghan Wars and the failed attempt to rescue Gordon at Khartoum, declared “Islam is as dangerous in Man as rabies is in a dog.” (see: The Story of the Malakand Field Force, Churchill, 1898; and The River War: An Historical Account of the Reconquest of the Soudan, Churchill, 1899.)

America’s current Imbecile-in-Chief has joined the ranks of those listed within the book On the Psychology of Military Incompetence by Norman F. Dixon, 1994 for his textbook display of politico-military incompetence.

Interestingly, military failures on such a grand scale (particularly American ones) are not studied at the U.S. Army War College in Leavenworth, Kansas. Not if aspiring colonels want to make general. Which partly explains why successive Administrations keep repeating them.

The reason “no president has done anything about Iran in the last 47 years” is because no previous president, their Secretaries of Defenses or Secretaries of State have been so stupidly oblivious to the foreseeable consequences from acting on the only available Courses of Action. – Ligon Law

Trump’s Minions’ declaration that no previous president in 47 years “acted” is a Lie. Sometimes NOT taking a Course of Action IS “acting.” Sometimes Not attacking a large Islamic dictatorship takes more wisdom and courage to avoid another Vietnam.

It’s easy to listen to someone who has never been in combat but who fantasizes about it, someone who is historically ignorant and militarily cowardly recommend a psycho-sexually based military operation (“Trump loves blowing things up!” – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham).

It’s called “War Gaming” – a critical step in determining the outcome of a chosen Course of Action. A concept of which Trump, Hegseth and Rubio are totally clueless.

The polar opposite – and what is happening in Iranis calledWar by Whim” – the foreseeable consequence of re-electing the Prince of Chaos. (see: In the Room Where It Happened by John Bolton, 2019)

* Minion: a follower, servant, or underling who obeys the orders of a powerful leader, usually without being important themselves. The word comes from the old French word mignon, which used to mean a darling, favorite, or lover.
