Trump’s Golden Calf
The Trump Administration’s overarching policy (and it’s lasting legacy) is obviously the oligarchic interpretation of The Golden Rule.
Whereas the Golden Rule is a principle that advocates treating others as you would like to be treated emphasizing respect and empathy, Trump’s ham fisted, bombastic approach appears to be the wealth worshipping interpretation “he who has the gold makes the rules” – “a cynical twist suggesting wealth and resources translate into power and influence. It implies those with financial power can dictate terms and set agendas in society, often at the expense of others. This phrase highlights a perceived imbalance in power dynamics where wealth is seen as a tool for control.” – wikipedia
There are three problems with this way of being president of the United States: the term “dictate” is anti-constitutional and the consequence of “often at the expense of others” will be the negative impact on innocent Ukrainians internationally and the consumer and small business owner domestically.
Trump’s administrative style is an ominous, psycho-sexual preoccupation with gold and his conviction that money can cure every societal ill and solve every international issue.
It can’t.
This is slowly – ever so slowly – making its way into Trump’s gold-encased brain regarding Putin.
Putin hasn’t “changed.” Putin has always been a devious murderer. It’s Trump’s grudging realization of that fact that is changing.
It’s proving next to impossible to convince a megalomaniac he’s been played politically by the arch enemy of America and the Free World. Having a Vice President who is equally geo-politically ignorant as he is whispering in his ear doesn’t help.
Russian and China – and many in the counterintelligence business – are amazed at how cheaply American citizens are bought to betray their country of birth for so little remuneration.
Trump’s extreme reticence to sacrifice his desire for a Trump Tower Moscow across the street from the Kremlin is wasting time imposing the only remedy to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. His delay is costing Ukrainians lives.
Whatever Ukrainian blood staining Biden’s garments is now drenching Trump’s suits because both failed to do in a timely manner what is clearly required to stop the bloodshed – total economic blockade of Putin’s Russia.
There’s a special Circle of Hell awaiting both Biden and Trump for botching this simple moral issue.
The status quo is unacceptable. Putin needs to withdraw from all of Ukraine – unequivocally.
The second policy error by Trump is his belief in the “Great Era of Tariffs” and how he can restore it in lieu of the income tax.
Here are a few quotes from C.C. Post’s, Driven from Sea to Sea, or A Campin; 1883; pgs. 341-343 arising from the consequences of that fallacious “Great Era of Tariffs”:
“The rapid growth of corporate power and the malign influence which it exerts by combinations on the National and State Legislatures is a well-grounded cause of alarm. A struggle is pending in the near future between this overgrown power, with its vast ramifications all over the Union, and a hard grip on much of the political machinery on the one hand, and the people in an unorganized condition on the other, for control of the Government.
It will be watched by every patriot with intense anxiety.
Great corporations and consolidated monopolies are fast seizing the avenues of power that lead to the control of the Government. It is an open secret that they rule States through procured Legislatures and corrupted Courts; that they are strong in Congress, and that they are unscrupulous in the use of means to conquer [opposition] and acquire influence. This condition of things is truly alarming, for unless it be changed quickly and thoroughly, free institutions are doomed to be subverted by an oligarchy resting upon a basis of money [gold] and of corporate power.”
– The Honorable David Davis, former U.S. Supreme Court Justice, 1880
“In my judgment the Republic cannot live long in the atmosphere which now surrounds the ballot box. Moneyed corporations, to secure favorable legislation for themselves are taking active part in elections by furnishing large sums of money to corrupt the voter and purchase special privileges from the Government. If money can control the decision of the ballot box it will not be long before it can control its existence.” – Governor Isaac P. Gray of Indiana, 1881.
“The channels of thought and the channels of commerce, thus owned or controlled by one man, or by a few men, what is to restrain corporate power, or to fix a limit to its exactions upon the people? What is then to hinder these men from depressing or inflating the value of all kinds of property [under Tariffs] to suit their caprice or avarice, and thereby gathering into their own coffers the wealth of the nation? Where is the limit to such a power as this?
What shall be said of a free people who will submit without a protest to be thus bound hand and foot?”
– Minnesota U.S. Senator William Windom, 1881.
Pig Putin and His Bombastic Billionaire Boy
Vladimir Putin
is such a Little Man
Who thinks he’s Big
cuz Trump keeps Puttin’
Lipstick on the Commie Pig.
Putin pets his boy
the boisterous billionaire
with his golden Towers
and combed over hair.
Tugging on his leash
like a birthday pull toy.
One covets land
and domination.
The other GOLD
and ADULATON!
“Business partners”
in international crime
Feeding their pig snouts
While Ukraine does the dyin’.
One uses tanks
The other extortion
Ignoring free people
And their national devotion.
All they ask is a little help
And a few more tools
To whip the Commie whelp
To kick Putin’s ass
and Liberate their Kin
in the occupied Donbas
Ukraine is not Afghanistan,
Iraq, Bosnia or Vietnam.
Those disasters were doomed
before they began.
Ukrainians fought for freedom
more than once –
And still do.
They’re fighting our fight
Like the Poles and the Czechs
did in World War II.
They’re paying the price
for the world to be free
With their blood
and their children
Knockin’ Putin
to his knees.
The Alamo of Europe
standing tall
Protecting NATO’s treaties
Like the Hadrian Wall.
Zelensky like Churchill
is warning the West
If we don’t act NOW
and give it our Best
It’ll be OUR blood
and OUR children
Dyin’ next.
