You are committing a felony selling a counterfeit document for entry into the United States.
Immigration law is a legislative function. – not executive. You have no constitutional authority to arbitrarily issue any document authorizing aliens entry into the United States.
Title 8 U.S.C. is the body of federal law dealing with immigration and nationality. It comprises relevant statutes adopted by the United States Congress. 18 U.S.C.
Section 1324c – “the term ‘falsely make’ means to prepare or provide an application or document with knowledge or in reckless disregard of the fact that the application or document contains a false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or material representation , or has no basis in law or fact.
Subsection e(2): Whosoever, (1) knowingly prepares or assists in preparing an application for immigration benefits pursuant to this chapter, … whether or not for a fee or other remuneration … shall be fined in accordance with Title 18 , imprisoned for not more than 15 years, or both, and prohibited from preparing or assisting in preparing any other such application.”
Your “Trump Gold Card” auctioned to the highest bidder is no better than the counterfeit document vendors who exploit the naivete’ of illegals wanting entry into the U.S. across “the line” on the Mexican border.
You have reduced “vetting” aliens’ entry into the United States to the lowest common denominator – crass commercialism. This makes you no better than any other country whose first question is “How much money do you have?” when other nationals request visas into almost every nation in the world. Voters can learn a lot about your character and moral compass –or lack thereof – by who you pardon, for what types of crimes and for whom you made them (including one financial fraudster pardon requested by Senator Tuberville). Combine all these pardons for financially fraudulent schemes with your total ignorance of geo-political reality and our country is in real trouble.
You pardoning of financial fraudsters is your equivalent to Biden opening the border. You’re just using different words to a different clientele to say “Come on in!” Your victims just bleed in a different way.
Combined with your flippant dismissal of a State Department and SECDEF OPSEC breach (“no one got hurt”) the law seems “flexible” if it benefits your political career.
