During his 6-10am MST show on Friday, December 16, 2022, Lewis remarked several times it was his last show for the Christmas season “and perhaps forever, who knows after January 3rd?” In my opinion, his departure is long overdue. Here’s why:
- Like a few other talk show hosts around the country, I believe Lewis is a counterfeit-conservative. Counterfeit is defined as “made in exact imitation of something valuable or important with the intention to deceive or defraud; a fraudulent imitation of something; a forgery.” I believe another example of a Counterfeit-conservative talk show host is Eric Bolling on Newsmax who proudly proclaims himself a Libertarian. The politics of a Libertarian versus a Leftist is a definition without a distinction – closer to the license of anarchy than an ordered society.
- KNST 790AM is an affiliate of iHeart Media, Inc. iHeart has purchased controlling interest in High Times Holding Corp. High Times Magazine is the nation’s largest pro-legalization of marijuana publication. IHeart stated it was “a way to get into the marijuana market without the public’s knowledge.” “The synergies are obvious” said Adam Levin, chairman and CEO of High Times. “Just last week, High Times entered into an agreement with and is scheduled to acquire this week Dope Magazine, the second largest publication in the industry.” (High Times and IHeartMedia Make Strategic Investment Deal, High Times). (see also: “Boycott IHeart Radio aka Drug Dealer dated 10/17/2022 this blog site)
- With conservative politicians and talk show hosts ranting about the Fentanyl epidemic, how does it make sense for them to partner with a Media company whose agenda is to legalize its’ gateway drug? (see also: Ted Nugent Vehemently Disapproves of Legalizing Marijuana in Michigan). Legalizing dope is not a conservative value. Are they selling their souls for popularity or are they also counterfeit conservatives?
- Lewis and KNST 790AM’s theme is rife with crass, obnoxious and offensive sexual innuendo in their commercials. For example, “How does it feel to enter a room knowing you’re the only one stimulated?” connoting the imagery of a man entering a room with an erection – accompanied by the guttural, nasty tone of the narrator; or “and your wife thought it was her nightie that turned you on – not like your girlfriend” not so subtly demeaning marital relations while elevating adultery to normality.
- Lewis tortured his listeners by playing entirely his “favorite Christmas song of all time” the last hour of today’s show – a sacrilegious version of The First Noel: Merry Christmas from the Family by Robert O. Keene; i.e. “I got drunk… and, A box of tampons and a pack of Marlborough.” Like a juvenile delinquent he reveled in the “humor” of this crass song sullying the sanctity of Christ’s birth.
- If Garret Lewis’ theme music is indicative of his politics he is more AntiFa than conservative. The lyrics to “In One Ear” by Cage the Elephant (the GOP elephant?) are riddled with profanity and adulation of anarchy and drugs; i.e. “They say the devil is my Pal” [like Saul Alinsky?] “and I do a lot of drugs;” followed by apparently mocking his listeners with “The crowd will only like me if they’re really fuckin’ drunk;” and, “Oh you better run for the hills, cos [sic] we’re coming to your town, and we’re gonna burn that mother f**ker down!” (see: https://www.stlyrics.com/songs/c/cagetheelephant26811/inoneear133417.html
- Garret Lewis’ lacks conversational skills. He routinely responds to opposing opinions with “You haven’t got a clue” or with personal epithets like “jerk, moron, idiot,” etc. This is the response of a Snowflake who lacks both depth and breadth in Life – not an informed conservative talk show host. He dominates discussion with his chest not his brain. His repertoire of rhetoric is emotionally driven – not based on any Life experience. A former bar tender with no resume’ of real work in the private or public sector indicates employment of least effort / max profit than sincere political conviction. As real conservatives know, there is no short cut to legitimacy; or to obtaining the gravitas necessary to deserve the attention of real conservatives. The “stimulation” he promotes is physical not intellectual.
- His limited education and/or lack of literary acumen is evidenced by his limited vocabulary. He is frequently unable to provide the right word to accurately articulate in summation the concept just discussed.
For more accuracy in media, KNST 790AM (and its listeners) should steer nearer to the right of the political spectrum by leaving IHeart Media and subscribing to an actual conservative sponsor and let Garret Lewis go someplace where his true convictions would be received with the appropriate stupor of thought – or by the “really f***king drunk.”
