Trump’s View Of Himself

The Real World’s View of Trump
If Trump were a Statesman instead of a spotlight-seeking, megalomaniacal politician, he could have appointed retired CEOs of Fortune 500 companies – actual economic experts – to the approximately 195 ambassadorial posts existing around the world.
As of 2025, 110 of these remain vacant.
Instead of filling these positions as a reward for significant campaign donations by Party loyalists with no economic knowledge or experience, imagine the difference it would have made in balancing international trade filling those positions with subject matter experts!
One of the primary roles of ambassadors is to “advance American economic, security, and cultural interests through diplomacy, public engagement, and cultural exchange programs.”
Ambassadors can be career Foreign Service Officers or political appointees with relevant expertise or connections. The historical norm is roughly 70% being career FSOs and 30% political appointees. However, under Trump, politically appointed ambassadors have increased to 43-44% – a record for any president and with a majority still to be named.
Is Trump telling the American taxpayer ambassadors are not earning their $187k per year salaries (plus expenses and bonuses that can double their salaries) by single-handedly taking over trade negotiations with almost 200 countries himself?
Much like he’s telling the DEA and Coast Guard they have failed in their mission in America’s Potemkin “Drug War“?
The fact is ambassadors, the DEA and the Coast Guard have been accomplishing their missions – within the parameters allowed them by a feckless Congress and a pardon colluding Trump Administration.
In all three missions, Trump, instead of supporting them with increased budgets, tools and personnel, has taken the reigns out of their hands and assumed the controls.
It’s like a spoiled, three-year old demanding to drive a semi-truck full of nitro on the LA freeway.
All Trump had to do was give his ambassadors his agenda for equalizing trade with the various countries and the Diplomatic Professionals would have taken the bit and exercised their Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) to negotiate America’s way to a more balanced foreign trade.
It would have been quicker, much less chaotic and offensive – and legal.
But that approach wouldn’t have enabled Trump to say the words “I” and “Greatest” in the same sentence.
Instead, Trump has used his usual tactless, bully sledgehammer starting off imposing headline grabbing high tariffs on everybody then having to reduce them individually and arbitrarily like numbers in a bingo machine.
Not to mention exercising unconstitutional powers reserved only for Congress.
Trump’s policies are like taking one step forward and two steps back.
All the while unnecessarily pissing off the rest of the world – requiring them to kiss his golden ass so as not to earn his royal wrath – while privately mocking his lack of intelligence, diplomatic acumen and economic ignorance.
In his world, Trump, the self-proclaimed “Dealer” (aka Scam Artist), is basking in the kleig light of an adoring public while playing the emotions of the American people like a Stradivarius.
And screwing them financially in the process:
Jared Kushner, Eric and Donald Trump, Jr. are to President Trump what Hunter Biden was to the “Big Guy” Joe Biden.
“Foreign actors and corporate interests have been buying access and favors from the President and his administration by funneling money into the Trump family’s cryptocurrency ventures and making large, politically motivated donations. In return, these financial backers have received swift returns, regulatory rollbacks, policy giveaways, and the quiet termination of federal investigations (10 SEC investigations) into major players in the crypto-currency. These have earned President Trump almost 2 billion dollars in 2025 alone. ” – House Committee on the Judiciary, November 25, 2025.
Nero ain’t got nothing on Trump.
