Although I believe we should never have invaded Afghanistan or Iraq in the first place , I like a good fight like any other real, red-blooded male Americans (and there aren’t many left). So I was glad to hear of President Trump ordering UAV operators to take out Suleimani.
I was particularly amused at a comment in the Military Times that the drone strike “…killed them all” in a paraphrase of the comment by Pope Pius II when asked by Crusaders how to distinguish between Muslims, Jews and Christians in Jerusalem. He simplified their quandary by telling them to “Kill them all. Let God sort them out.” That quote used to be on T shirts of patriotic Americans during Vietnam. But did the strike “kill them all”? The article pointed out that Suleiman’s body was identified by a ring on his finger. But “no evidence” of the body of his Iraqi contact was found. Hmm, interesting. Now, the normal reader may assume the guy’s body was obliterated, pulverized and incinerated. Anyone who has worked at a crematorium knows how difficult that is under the best of circumstances.
I asked myself “If they identified Suleimani’s body by a finger and a ring, why could they not find any evidence of the Iraqi contact?” Hmmm. Intelligence that specific usually comes from HUMINT that is verified by SIGINT and IMINT. Guess which one would explain no evidence of the Iraqi’s body? Keep an eye out in your neighborhood for a new (rich) Arab neighbor. Reagan said it best: “Trust but verify.”
Dems complain of Trump’s usurpation of the war powers act. HA! Dems have abrogated their wars powers since Vietnam to avoid the political blowback should things go bad – as they have with every Democrat administration. The Democrats are really royally pissed because they know what a powerful political “bump” Trump will get in the polls for taking the dirtbag out. Obama wouldn’t have Ok’d killing bin Laden if Hillary hadn’t threatened to expose his disapproval for the umpteenth target package on bin Ladin (see Micheal Scheur’s America After Islam). She wanted the credit as Secretary of State for killing bin Laden.
Democrats just don’t get it – on any level. They don’t understand that law breakers won’t obey gun laws and that “a well-armed society is a polite society”. Nor do they understand that fearing “repercussions” doesn’t stop terrorists from killing us.

Trump has fought terrorists better than General Mattis – the supposed “poet-general”- on so many political, military, economic, social, infrastructure and information levels – the classic PMESII warfighting acronym.
