Obama’s unabashed and diabolical subversion of the electoral process is morphing into fairy tale proportions. It is a tale with a tragic historic precedent and ominous future consequences. Back when parents read bedtime stories to their children, the legend of The Pied Piper was a vivid reminder to youth not to blindly follow strangers. It was also a reminder for adults to deal honestly with others. The comparisons of the apocryphal story to the Obama administration (and the Beltway) are astonishing: The European town of Hamelin had a case of serious rat infestation. The mayor agreed to pay a wandering piper to rid his town of the rats. The piper dutifully played his magical tune and led the rats to drown in the river nearby [if only it were that easy!]. The mayor, however, reneged on his promised payment. In revenge, the Piper returned and played another magical tune leading 130 of the town’s children into oblivion – never to be heard from again.
Some in literature attribute the origin for this folk tale to the disastrous Children’s Crusade that occurred in 1212A.D. One variant cites a boy claiming he had been visited by Jesus and told to lead a Crusade to peacefully convert Muslims to Christianity. Through a series of supposed miracles he gained a following of as many as 30,000 children. He led his followers south towards the Mediterranean Sea in the belief that the sea would part on their arrival allowing him and his followers to march to Jerusalem. This did not happen. Two merchants gave free passage on boats to as many of the children as were willing, but they were actually either taken to Tunisia and sold into slavery or died in a shipwreck on San Pietro Island during a gale. Some failed to reach the sea, dying or giving up from starvation and exhaustion.
The megalomaniacal Left and the messianic Obama deceptively luring children of Latino families to America with promises of a “better life” is an incredibly cynical and hypocritical political maneuver. Using taxpayer money to buy hotels and establish “resettlement” camps to “process” these children is the same as leading them to drown in the river. Recent reports that the Department of Homeland Security is permitting total strangers to claim pseudo-parentage reeks of the potential to sell these children into economic or sexual slavery. The chances of these children becoming productive citizens in a country where they don’t even speak the language is nil. The probability they will become wards of the state is great. I can see another government program similar to the discredited Youth Job Corps being passed by Congress – or mandated by Obama’s pen. That “work project” quickly became a training ground for criminal gang activity.
Obama’s end-run around immigration laws has the very real potential of creating an American version of the Palestinean refugee camps. Establishing refugee camps along America’s southern land border is not a new concept. The Clinton administration notified border law enforcement to be prepared for such camps in the ‘90s under the pretext of an epidemic in Mexico and Central America. Mexico is as guilty in this crime against humanity as Arab states were in refusing to allow Arabs leaving the new nation of Israel to settle in their countries (having failed to deliver on a promise to give them Israeli property after “driving every Jew into the sea”).
Mexico is doing to the U.S. what Castro did during the Mariel boatlift. Rather than emptying his prisons of undesirables, the president of Mexico is ridding his administration of future unemployables. An Mexican Ministry of Defense memo in the ‘90s stated there was a viable insurgent threat in the majority of Mexico’s states. Government corruption was increasing poverty and breeding recruits for revolutionary groups. The only thing keeping any Mexican administration in office is the billions sent back from illegal Mexicans in the United States. Every U.S. administration since Carter has aided and abetted in the demographic subterfuge of our Constitution for political gain. Americans are being betrayed by their cowering elected officials. The operative term being “elected.”
Intentionally separating these children from their families and failing to assimilate into the American culture will create a sense of abandonment and bitterness within many of these children. Their resettlement camps and hotels will become recruiting grounds for the most vicious Mexican gangs and criminal enterprises – at worst. Those children who are from well to do families just obtained automatic residency for their relatives. Every Mexican government official I encountered working on the border beseeched me for aid in immigrating their families to escape the massive corruption. At best the Left will have added several hundred thousand more entitlement seekers to their voting rolls. America’s cookie jar only holds so many cookies. Saul Alynsky must be dancing on his bed.
