“Asked during a Sunday appearance on CNN about DeSantis’ characterization of Palestinians, Haley said, “America has always been sympathetic to the fact that you can separate civilians from terrorists.” She said half of Palestinians don’t want to live under Hamas’ rule.” – wikipedia
First, Nikki seems to be vying with Biden for the Word Salad Award: how can one be “sympathetic to the fact” that “you can separate civilians from terrorists?” That’s not a fact. It’s a bold – and fatally false– assertion from a person who’s never actually had to “separate civilians from terrorists” and has no idea of either the process or the difficulty in vetting individuals entering our country. I do. She pulled the “half don’t want to live under Hamas rule” out of her ass – and it is equally false.
I’m a retired Immigration Inspector from the Douglas, AZ Port of Entry. I conducted approximately 10,000 interviews of varying intensity of persons seeking entry into the United States. I recommended three persons to the FBI for inquiry into possible terrorist intentions. One was a man who approached us at the pedestrian lane from the north at approximately 2 a.m. He was asking directions as if he were a tourist. Considering the hour and the strange nature of his questions, I brought him into the interview room. He said he was an American citizen who had spent several years in Germany. He had an accent but it was neither American nor German. I searched his briefcase (over his objection) and found German drivers’ licenses in two other names with his photo on each. One appeared to be fake. He had no American identification. The papers in his briefcase appeared to be a hodge podge of random, unrelated legal documents. I took his photo, fingerprinted him, photographed his documents and released him. I reported him to the FBI office in Sierra Vista but never heard from them.
The two other individuals also approached late at night but from Mexico. They claimed to be either Pakistani or Indian and were dressed in business attire. They showed their documents and claimed to be going to a business conference but were vague as to the exact location. I questioned them further and examined their luggage. Both had documentation relating to processing nuclear material. I wondered why such allegedly educated and highly trained persons would be approaching us here vs. flying into a major airport. They became visibly uncomfortable when I found those documents. I did the same packet and forwarded it to the same FBI with the same result.
This vetting process is done thousands of times every day [or it used to be] by immigration inspectors at over 300 land, air and sea ports of entry – with varying degrees of dedication depending on the inspector and that port of entry’s management preference. The overwhelming policy from Headquarters, INS down to each Port of Entry Director is focused on service versus enforcement. These were persons requesting entry into the United States. What about those tens of thousands of terrorist sympathizers who are already here? Claims by candidates they will “get ’em outta here” is pure hubris. No one can be deported for their sympathy to a political cause.
The statement at the bottom of the last page on the Top Secret questionnaire used to read “Are you now or have you ever been a member of the communist party or any other organization whose intention is to do harm to America” (paraphrased). That statement was removed by our government over twenty years ago. Because of that I couldn’t kick a die-hard communist student at the Army’s Intelligence “School of Excellence” at Ft. Huachuca, AZ out of the Army. He was training to be an intel analyst.
Thanks to Obama-Biden’s treasonous Open Border policy, the lunacy of Nikki Haley’s claim is even more obvious. Nikki’s solipsism has fatal consequences for those who have to actually live under their misguided policies. None more so than with national defense.
So, Nikki, to the question of whether Hamas is inside the FBI how would you answer my question? Especially in view of the fact the Obama-Biden administration has Iranian sympathizers within the White House, the State Department and the Pentagon? The answer is YOU DON’T KNOW. You CAN’T know!
And neither does the FBI. There are without doubt Hamas sympathizers who are only a phone call away from becoming actively radicalized working within the FBI. The 9/11 Commission Report: Final Report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States cites among the nauseatingly numerous examples of the FBI’s massive failure to detect the 9/11 attacks, the testimony of a newly hired, female Arab translator who showed up for work at the New York City FBI Field Office (just blocks down the street from the Twin Towers) the day after 9/11. The office was empty of agents but was full of other female Arab translators – who were having a party celebrating “The Great Satan finally getting what it deserves.” These are paid employees working for the FBI who presumably passed a Top Secret background investigation!
Anyone who has served overseas will tell you the trustworthiness of “terps” is a coin toss. I visited a Self-Contained Intelligence Facility (SCIF) for an Army unit. I was introduced to their senior Arabic translator – and he made my skin crawl. As a very well-trained interrogator and experienced counterintelligence officer, this man’s neurolinguistic indicators set off my threat radar. Once he knew who I was I wondered if he thought I was there to arrest him. Thousands of American troops’ lives depended on this man giving them true, timely and accurate translated information against his fellow Muslims. I had serious doubts he was doing so. And he had a Top Secret clearance.
As a Special Forces A team commander, I quickly appreciated the exposure we had in the hinterlands of Third World countries relying on a foreign national for interpreting the language of the indigenous persons we encountered. Our lives were literally in their hands. The only tool I had to sense veracity of the interpreter was the fact that communication nuances are amazingly cross-cultural.
The examples of “friendly” Afghans working with US forces turning against us or informing the Taliban of our intentions are legion – LEGION. They succeed simply because we don’t understand what they are saying. WE DON’T SPEAK THEIR LANGUAGE. The opportunities for deception are ubiquitous. The difficulty of vetting persons’ political attitudes or agendas is impossible.
But one thing is clear: very, very few of the millions of legal and illegal aliens entering this country have acculturated to the American historical narrative. Faithful Muslims believe lying to infidels is legitimate – as well as killing them on sight. This is the main reason why immigration should be stopped COMPLETELY for the next twenty years. Don’t feel alone, Nikki. Trump said basically the same thing (see: “Trump’s Extreme Vetting” dtd. 2016/08/16 at www.LigonClanLaw.com
