With the latest Pew Poll showing 88% of Americans believe the government controls the people versus 8% who feel the people control the government the similarities between Obama’s America and Stalin’s Soviet Union increase weekly. What the poll doesn’t show is how many Americans are just fine with that ratio. It must be significant since Santa Claus –even accounting for the obvious rampant (and increasing) voter fraud- was elected twice. Anyone who has watched the character decline of political candidates for the last thirty years saw this miasma coming decades ago. It’s the only possible consequence of moral relativity. Robert Bork’s Slouching Toward Gomorrah: Modern Liberalism and American Decline had it right.
Just as Stalin ruled outside the constitution of the USSR (yes, they had one mimicking ours) Obama has ruled our erstwhile Republic by edict since almost his first day in office. It has worsened as his second term drags ever so slowly by. If Obama had the political acumen he would “preside” by proffering ideas to break the impasse. But he can’t (like the commercial says) – he doesn’t have the imagination. That’s why he’s been on paid furlough since taking office. American citizens can’t expect a man raised to despise the American Ideal to save us (literally) when the economic, political or diplomatic chips are down. His Leftist agenda isn’t based on facts or statistically successful societal models. Instead the Left uses emotional appeals (starving children) of utopian myths that have never worked in the history of the world. The ‘Big Lie’ Stalin used and Obama uses now is that “Statology” can replace man’s agency. This is minutely documented in Liberal Fascism by Jonah Goldberg. The irony? Stalin copied it from American ‘Progressives’.
On June 12, 1987 President Ronald Reagan challenged Mikhail Gorbachev, General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union: “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!” Despite opposition from Secretary of Defense Powell and Chief of Staff Baker, Reagan insisted his idea stay in the speech. The wall fell on November 9, 1989. Obama’s wall now stands at the WW II memorial complete with barbed wire, barricades and sandbags. How symbolic of his approach to the shut down and his administration in general. America can’t stand much more of his hope and change. It’s time someone breached the barricades with the mantra: “Mr. Obama, tear down these walls!” It’s a Mt. Suribachi moment.
