Desperate times call for desperate measures. The ouster of Speaker McCarthy is a “shot over the bow” to politics as usual fired by a group of eight elected representatives who are actually keeping their campaign promises. This should be recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. Somebody had to dig their heels in and shout “STOP!” and damn the consequences!
Representative Kevin McCarthy (R) of California exhibited several counterfeit conservative traits during this latest failure of Congress to seriously curb debt and earn their salaries. The least of these traits is his disturbing physical similarity to California governor Gavin Newsome (D) (also of California)– at least the same hair stylist and dermatologist. “Kevin – Gavin”- sounds like Hahvad frat brothers. Both exude the same “I know I’m devilishly handsome” hubris common to Hollywood actors and politicians.
McCarthy’s statement to the press yesterday was an interesting exercise in self-justification. An analysis of his statements reveal:
- McCarthy boasted of being a dye-hard member of the Republican Party. “I’ll live and die by the GOP,” and bemoaned “the institution fell today.” It is quite clear McCarthy is: first and foremost a Party man. His feeble allusions to “serving the American people” are shallow and insincere. The American people are damn sick and tired of RINOs compromising with the Democrats to preserve their thrones.
- It’s a great day for all Americans when the “institution” of which McCarthy owes so much loyalty – the institution that has created multiple, disastrous financial crises in the last fifty years; the institution that created the 2008 Financial collapse and revoked every legislative remedy to the 2008 Financial Collapse two years after passing them, the institution that is paying people not to work, the institution that -contrary to every rule of free enterprise- bails out corrupt municipalities and mismanaged industries, the institution that imprisoned Americans for two years on a fake flue crisis; the institution that allowed 9/11 State Department, Airline Industry and Clinton bureaucrat enablers to go unpunished; the institution that allows our borders being invaded by millions of illegal aliens for both Party ‘s political and economic agendas; the institution that financed Bush’s two twenty-year unwinnable wars, the institution that brought disaster and economic pain to every citizen? – YES! It is a great day when that institution has fallen! Better it fall by insurrection of principled patriots than require the bloodshed of a revolution by the pissed off masses! God bless the eight principled people who stood in the way of the whole nation being driven over the Tarpean Cliff by “team players”!
- Secondly, like “Relaxium” Huckster Mike Huckabee, and Devin (Devin-Kevin-Gavin?) Nunes, a 20 year politician who resigned under threat of electoral defeat now CEO of Trump Media & Technology Group (caveat emptor Donald!), McCarthy repeats the career politicians’ mantra that “politics is a team sport” based on “compromise.” (read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, 1957 for what politicians mean by “team sport.”)
- It’s RINO compromisers colluding with the Dems that brought us Donald Trump’s defeat in 2020.
- It’s RINO compromisers who colluded in bringing our national debt to devastating astronomical proportions.
- It’s RINO compromisers who colluded in bringing Continuing Resolutions rather than an honest, transparent spending bill for the last thirty years!
McCarthy doesn’t know the difference between compromise and capitulation.
McCarthy’s approach to “compromise” is the same approach used by our feckless State Department conducting international treaty negotiations with the Russians and Chinese– “negotiation by pre-concessions.” (see: How Democracies Perish by Jean-Francois Revel, 1983)
- McCarthy thought relating being refused an internship to a congressman at the age of 20 would bring sympathy from the public. Instead, it showed what a political animal he was at an early age. In military terms, it’s like a second lieutenant seeking the job of general’s aide – the most ass kissing job in the military.
Speaking of ass kissing, Arizona congressman Juan Ciscomani was elected and obtained a seat on the House Armed Services Committee (as did Martha McSally before him) – by being a Party hack. Ciscomani is the only one of the Freedom Caucus to vote step-by-step with Speaker McCarthy in compromising with the Democrats. That makes him a RINO. Ciscomani boasts of being a legal immigrant from Mexico. There are many things about the Hispanic culture to admire. But one glaring weakness is their proclivity for sucking up to power in hopes of gaining personal favors. It originates from the Patron system inculcated into their culture by their Spanish masters and the Catholic church for centuries. It’s how Mexico runs today.
Ciscomani was a D.C. lobbyist (the ultimate patronage job!) recalled to Arizona by “the man who runs the southern Arizona GOP” car salesman (Patron) Jim Click to run for congress against other legitimately local candidates.
Kudos to the eight who held McCarthy’s feet to the fire – or, more accurately, burned him at the stake!! In doing so, they kept their promises to the American people – putting Principle above Politics. Icons of Integrity are difficult to find anywhere these days much less in congress.
If it takes shutting the government down, damn well do it! The last shut down revealed how little missed the nonessential bureaucrats in D.C. were! The benefit of both the leadership vacuum and a government shut down is congress is not there spending our money! Of course, the military and Social Security checks will continue to go out. That threat is a red herring meant to scare the masses and preserve the status quo.
But until the American people understand that it is the corrupt Two-Party System that has brought us to these repeated and disastrous brinks of disaster, it will only get worse.
Register Independent or Unaffiliated. Put Principle over Politics. Because the “Parties” won’t!
