Defeating ANTIFA – The Smith Act

I was going to write how ANTIFA was America’s version of Hitler’s Brown Shirts.

After reading DiscovertheNetworks.org’s ANTIFA file I find they are worse.

Defeating ANTIFA is easy.  There is a long overdue and extremely dire need for reinstituting The Smith Act.  This law (18 U.S.C. 2385) was enacted  on June 29, 1940.  It set criminal penalties for advocating the overthrow of the U.S. government by force or violence and required all non-citizens to register with the federal government.

It has long been an axiom that “the Constitution is what the Supreme Court says it is.”  Perhaps in the current political environment The Smith Act will have some backing from both a Constitutional Court and a Constitutional President – with enough public support.

“Every culture is just one generation from anarchy.  It is the socialization of the young by the elders that allows the next generation to come of age civilized.  A society in which this torch no longer gets passed is a society in trouble.”  – Mary Pipher

One Response to Defeating ANTIFA – The Smith Act

  1. Tony Guthrie says:

It’s so strange some people believe the 1st Amendment allows America haters to advocate the destruction of our nation! After 9/11 instead of taking such individuals and groups seriously, we instructed our Law Enforcement Agencies to turn a blind eye. Is it the mark of a nation that has become effete and over-civilized that it progressively ends up promoting its own destruction? Heaven forbid the USA ever again turns over the keys of the asylum to the inmates!
