Some Americans are familiar with the last-ditch tactic of some Japanese commanders during World War II attacking en masse against American troops. When all was lost it was deemed an honorable way to die in one last desperate charge against the superior enemy. It always failed causing negligible damage to the defenders. I am in awe of WW II veterans who survived those day and night attacks by hordes of Japanese soldiers yelling “Banzai!”*
The difference between those Japanese commanders and Joe Biden is those commanders had the courage to lead their troops in the attacks. Biden hides in the Oval Office or his Delaware dungeon as he desperately orders troops on desperate, suicide missions hoping America still blindly “supports a war-time president” – the latest being Ukraine.
For a commander-in-chief of the best equipped, best trained fighting force in the world to abandon his troops at their most vulnerable – a withdrawal (that’s what a retreat is called these days. I guess when we shouldn’t have been there in the first place its a way of ensuring political CYA) is criminal and requires impeachment and a firing squad for cowardice – along with the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon who haven’t resigned en masse to protest the insanity. But to repeat the impending disaster within a year after the first stretches credulity.
- Banzai: literally “ten thousand years of life to you!” referring to life on the other side of death. I wish the same to Biden. May he serve his time beside Prometheus.
